Description
The teapot is a complex form, made from many parts. In this 5 week class, we will focus on creating volume in a thrown teapot form, and practice different techniques for making handles, lids and spouts. We’ll put it all together and look at special strategies for glazing this complex form.
This class is for throwing levels from advanced beginner to advanced.
$175 tuition includes clay.
4 hours per week of non-class independent studio time are included with class tuition.
It is recommended that students have their own tools. Some tools may be available to borrow from the studio. Basic throwing tools can be purchased online, at a clay supply company, or through The Handle Factory.
