Description
This class will be an introduction to wheel-thrown pottery with an emphasis on repetition, developing a practice, taking risks, and exploring the limits of the clay – to learn and practice basic skills in a supportive environment. Students will learn how to center clay, shape basic forms, make handles, trim, and glaze pottery.
This class will meet weekly on Tuesday evenings for 8 weeks.
Up to 4 hours per week of non-class independent studio time are included with class tuition. $360 Tuition includes clay, glazes and firing.
Tools are available to borrow from the studio, and must be cleaned returned after each use. Basic tools can be purchased online, at a clay supply company, or through The Handle Factory.
