This class will be an introduction to wheel-thrown pottery with an emphasis on repetition, developing a practice, taking risks, and exploring the limits of the clay – to learn and practice basic skills in a supportive environment.  Students will learn how to center clay, shape basic forms, make handles, trim, and glaze pottery.

This class will meet weekly on Wednesday evenings for 10 weeks.

Up to 4 hours per week of non-class independent studio time are included with class tuition. * $340 Tuition includes clay, glazes and firing.  

We suggest  that all students  have their own tools. Some tools may be available to borrow from the studio. Basic throwing tools can be purchased  online, at a clay supply company, or through The Handle Factory.
