CLASS DESCRIPTION:

This special session class will meet for 4 sessions of 2.5 hours each on Sundays. November 8th, 15th and 22nd, and December 6th. From 2-4:30pm

Improve your bowl making skills: create a continuous internal curve, match the interior and exterior curves, make the height and width you want, bonus – learn to embrace mistakes and turn them into opportunities for creative pieces!
Learn new possibilities for surface design: using slip and carving techniques on greenware, glazing techniques on larger pieces, using underglaze transfers.
This class is for potters who already have basic skills in throwing, and want to improve their technique as well as learn some fun and easy ways to decorate. The class moves fast and we expect participants to come in between sessions to practice and make additional bowls to create surface designs on.
Non-member students may come in for up to 6 hours of monitored independent work time per week.
Tuition of $160 does NOT include clay. Clay must be purchased through the studio for this class.
