This is a 3 hour glaze clinic for students new to glazing and ceramic art. We will cover the best practices for using the Handle Factory’s studio glaze area.

How to choose the best glazes for the form and function of your pieces.

How to prepare your ceramics for glazing.

How to effectively use wax resist.

How to glaze different shapes.

The importance of good record keeping.
We will troubleshoot glaze problems with examples- (You are welcome to bring any finished glazed pieces you want to discuss in class).
This is a clinic for those with limited glazing experience. A more intensive workshop will be offered in the spring that covers more advanced glazing techniques. New students should attend this basic clinic before considering the spring workshop.
Please note, this clinic will be repeated thru the winter monthly as Saturday morning clinics and will have up to 6 participants. All participants must be vaccinated and boosted. Masks are required in the studio with this instructor.
