Description
With many of the basics already under your belt, you’re ready to level up your skills on the wheel. For some, this might be with pouring vessels, others it might be throwing 5lbs or more. Maybe you struggle with handles or diversifying your range of forms? This intermediate level class is aimed at getting you over some of your hurdles, while adding to some of the tools you already use while making pottery. Broadly speaking, participants should already know the common terminology, how to center, raise walls and create basic forms.
8 weeks. $300 includes up to 25lb of clay, glazes and firing.
Up to 4 hours per week of non-class independent studio time are included with class tuition.
All students are encouraged to have their own tools. Some tools may be available to borrow from the studio. Basic throwing tools can be purchased online, at a clay supply company, or through The Handle Factory.
